Simulation Tools for the Digital Twin

Evaluation and implementation of FEM simulation tools

We advise you on evaluation and implementation of powerful FEM simulation applications to prepare your product development for virtual prototyping. We also support you with developing the necessary knowhow, e.g. by working with the development team on your projects and in the process passing on our years of experience in systems analysis to your staff.

MSC Nastran (solver)

We’ve been using MSC Nastran for years for static and dynamic analyses (SOL 101, SOL 108), buckling analysis (SOL 105), resonant frequency and modal analysis (SOL 103) and nonlinear analysis (SOL 400) of components and assemblies and for contact and thermal analysis. Our materials database covers numerous reference data on a very wide range of materials, from metals through ceramics to fibre-reinforced plastics.

MSC Patran (pre-/postprocessor)

We use MSC Patran as a pre/postprocessor for modelling complex components and assemblies, e.g. for lightweight construction shell structures and also for comparatively massive thick-walled structures. Patran has an interactive user interface and numerous interfaces for data transfer with the most frequently encountered servers; e.g. MSC Nastran, Marc, Abaqus, LS-DYNA, ANSYS or Pam-Crash.

For our clients and partners we mesh complex parts and assemblies where acceptable processing times require combined meshes of linear volume elements (typically HEX8) with linear shell elements (QUAD4), e.g. for 3D printed parts.
