Industrialization of laser ignition system for the Ariane 6 launch vehicle

Scope: Systems engineering for further development of the CTR HiPoLas® laser ignition system for the Ariane 6 cryogenic upper stage

With the development team: Further development of an existing laser ignition system for space applications based on client and normative requirements (ECSS), interdisciplinary development support, industrialization of the product for series production, development and cost planning, safety analyses (FMECA), drawing up product and development documentation, development and implementation of configuration and change management, planning and implementation of verification tests, support with establishing an industry partnership for electronics development and series production

Industrialization of ion thrusters

Scope: Support with development in industrialization of ion thrusters, development and implementation of quality and product assurance organization

With the development team: Industrialization of an existing ion thruster for series production, interdisciplinary support with development (design, calculation, trade-offs etc), safety analyses (FMECA), product and development documentation, GSE (Ground Support Equipment) development, development and implementation of quality and product assurance organization

LH2 tank for aviation applications

Scope: Systems engineering support for a LH2 tank (-253°C) for an aviation application (ca. 25kg LH2 for a fuel cell), managing project team, interfacing with end client

With the development team: Review of technical and normative specifications, development planning, development and evaluation of various system concepts (including make-or-buy) and system level analyses, development of subsystem specifications in close consultation with the end clients, safety analyses (FMECA), test and verification planning in accordance with EUROCAE ED 14, cost planning
